Estes Expands Nationwide Terminal Network in 2022

As the nation’s largest privately owned freight transportation company, Estes is committed to going the extra mile to improve its customers’ shipping experience. That’s why the company continues to invest in a nationwide capacity expansion which, in 2022, added a total of 587 doors to its vast network.

Estes has grown its door count by nearly 6% since 2021. As part of this larger expansion effort, Estes has opened several new terminals this year, including:

  • An 87-door facility in Savannah, GA, which added 57 doors to its network
  • A 60-door facility in Lehighton, PA
  • A facility in Gary, IN which added 103 doors to its network
  • A 10-door facility in Roswell, NM
  • A facility in Cheyenne, WY which added 17 doors to its network

Estes has also relocated and expanded several terminals throughout its nationwide network to gain additional doors and boost capacity. In 2022, the company:

  • Relocated its facility in Boise, ID to grow its network by 12 doors
  • Relocated its Oklahoma City, OK terminal to add 72 doors to its network
  • Expanded its facility in Wilmington, DE, to grow its network by 58 doors
  • Relocated its San Antonio, TX terminal to add 97 doors to its network
  • Relocated its facility in Farmington, NM, to grow its network by 12 doors
  • Relocated its Raleigh, NC terminal to add 12 doors to its network
  • Relocated its facility in Amarillo, TX, to grow its network by 6 doors
  • Expanded its West Houston, TX terminal to add 55 doors to its network
  • Expanded its facility in Toledo, OH, to grow its network by 16 doors

Coming soon in early 2023, Estes will be:

  • Opening a new, 203-door facility in Arlington, TX
  • Opening a new terminal in Banning, CA that will grow its network by 133 doors
  • Relocating its Richmond, VA terminal to add 28 new doors to its network

“Through these expansion efforts, we want our customers to know that Estes is committed to going the extra mile for them,” says Estes VP of Process Improvement Webb Estes. “Our goal is to grow our door count by 7-10% percent each year beginning in 2023, and we can’t wait for our customers to see all the growth we have in store next year!”
